High-value crops like onions and garlic, which thrive in these conditions, are significantly under produced, meeting only 30% of local market demand. Fragmentation within these value chains further prevents farmers from fully capitalizing on this opportunity for commercialization.
How are we addressing this problem?
Onion Doctor delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end climate-smart solution for the onion & garlic value chains. We provide drought-resistant seedlings, drip irrigation, soil testing, solar-powered I.o.T pest and disease monitoring, and market access. Our all-in-one approach helps farmers boost their yields to 15 tons per acre in onions and 5 ton per acre in garlic, resulting in a 67% increase in revenue.

Ms. Wangari is an agribusiness expert with over 7-year experience in agronomy, irrigation, training and capacity building to small holder farmers in Africa. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma from ARAVA, Israel and a BSC. Land Resource Planning and Management from JKUAT, Kenya.

CHIEF AGRONOMIST
Mr. Kombo is a seasoned agronomist with a 7-year work experience in agronomy. He has a Degree of Science in Agricultural Extension Education, from University of Eldoret, Kenya.
